Eric Dier And Jose Mourinho Hilariously React To Spurs Star Sprinting Off The Pitch For A Bathroom Break – SPORTbible

Eric Dier has admitted that Jose Mourinho was “not happy” with him leaving the pitch to head to the toilet as he insisted “nature was calling.”

Spurs progressed to the next stage of the League Cup after beating Chelsea 5-4 on penalties at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday.

However, Tottenham trailed for much of the match after Chelsea summer signing Timo Werner opened the scoring in the first half.

Speaking after Spurs’ victory, the England international was well aware of how his actions infuriated the ‘Special One.’

“He wasn’t happy, but there was nothing I could do about it, really. Nature was calling,” Dier said.

“I heard there was a chance when I wasn’t on the pitch, but thankfully they didn’t score and we ended up with the win.”

The Spurs boss explained after the match: “He had to go, I knew that he had to go.

“[…] Maybe it’s a normal thing when you are completely dehydrated, when you have nothing in your muscles, which was the case.

“I knew that he had to go, but I was just trying to put some pressure on him, to have him back for the remaining time.

“He was a great example for everybody playing these two matches, of course. If the football authorities don’t care about players, I care, so of course Eric Dier cannot play the match on Thursday.”
