Emotions were at an all-time high during Sunday night’s finale episode of The Block.

Sarah and George were understandably ecstatic as they pocketed an incredible $650,002 at auction, with a bid of $4,000,002 over their reserve of $3,350,000.

Wiping away tears of joy from her face, Sarah remarked on camera that ‘it’s nuts’.

George revealed to host Scott Cam that they’re now able to pay off their mortgage. 

‘Mate, we came on this show with the goal to pay our house off, mate. Nothing more, nothing less. We’ve done it.’ 

Meanwhile, Jimmy and Tam ‘smashed a record’ for the hit show pocketing a near $1million profit after their home went under the hammer.

The couple were second to put their home to auction, with a nail-biting bidding war seeing the house sell for $4,256,000. 

‘Mummy and daddy just won a lot of money,’ Tam told their daughter following the auction. While Jimmy said: ‘You want a pony?’ 

The couple got a whopping $966,000 profit from the sale.

Even Scott Cam was surprised by the result, with him clearly happy for the couple: ‘Come here, mate. Bloody hell, $966,000. Just Unbelievable.’  

The strong result followed Luke and Jasmine, who made more than $500,000 in profit. Their home sold for a whopping $3,856,000.

They were ecstatic with their mortgage paid off after the bidding reached more than $440,000 in profit for them.
